Traumatic Grey Hair

Today there was major trauma at the Garrett household over a grey hair. This is what happened. This morning I (Chana) noticed that my grey hair had grown much longer. (Okay, I'm sure I've got more than one - but I have one in particular that stands out and is growing in front so I see it a lot.) I came into the office where Josh and Annabelle were and I showed it to them. I said, "Well, I'm starting to get old." It was at this statement that Annabelle LOST it! She started crying and screaming that she didn't want me to get old. She said she wanted me to stay exactly the same as I am now. I explained to her that everyone gets old and that even she would be getting older. Well... at this she decided it was okay for daddy and Ava Raye to get older, but she and I would not! Then she demanded to look at my grey hair. When she found it, she started crying in hysterics again! Poor thing... she really took it hard! I guess this is a good reminder to myself to be sure and always speak about growing older in positive terms!! :)

Oh that's a good one...lol...what a story to tell her when SHE gets 'old'. (by then, we'll be the ones crying, right?) :)

I noticed my first gray hairs at 31, too! And they are slowly multiplying. :)
