Peanut Butter and What?!

Yesterday for lunch Annabelle insisted that she wanted "peanut butter and strawberry toast with a slice of cheese and a top piece of bread." Oh, gross. But, she ate it....

 

Enjoying Her Morning Cup of Joe

Both of my girls have to have their cup of coffee in the morning. 

 

The other day I brought home a brown paper Starbuck's bag and Chicken Little got so excited "Coffee! Coffee!" 

For those of you out there who are worried about coffee stunting their growth - even though that's an old wive's tale - join me in hoping it might happen. If Chicken Big stays on the path she is on now, she will hit 6 feet by the age of 13, and it's looking like Chicken Little is not far behind!

Candy Filled Easter Eggs

Here's what the girls and I did today:

First, we emptied the contents of 21 eggs. (We used about 10 of them for dinner tonight!)

 

Then we dyed away! (Food coloring + vinegar + hot water)
 

Next, we filled each egg with one small piece of candy (and ate a few as we worked!)
 

After each egg was filled, we glued newspaper over the openings and colored each piece with paint.
 

Here is our beautiful finished project (with only ONE casualty among them all!)

This is how we spent our Thursday morning. I love not working until the afternoons!

p.s. the afternoon ended in tears and spankings. Why is it that all fun days end that way?

Annabelle's Shopping List

 

Annabelle just came in with a shopping list she had made me. She said:

"Mom, can you buy some bread and milk and apples and fruit and candy and candy and candy and candy and candy and candy and candy and some more candy? Is that okay, momma?"
