Some things I love about my chickens (in no particular order):
Their soft hair, especially when it is freshly washed.
Their beautiful smiles, especially when I just come home from work.
Their snuggles next to me when we watch tv.
Their love for coloring and water-coloring, Chicken Big saying "let's make a craft."
The way they call the dog to come, "Arrrooooooo!"
The way Chicken Little calls every dog she sees "Hoxie"
The joy in Chicken Little's eyes from learning a new phrase.
The way they say "I love you, Big Time!"
The way Chicken Big uses big, grown up expressions, then asks me if she's right. (We haven't been to Eli's house in years - right momma?)
They way Chicken Big makes up songs on the Scooter, especially about God.
The way both chickens sing "Rock and Roll" over and over at the top of their lungs, playing their air guitars. Where did this come from?
The nice way they tell their Nanny "Salamat Po, Ate Tess!" before she leaves every night.
The way they both fought over taking turns "fixing" my hair tonight.
The way their sticky little hands feel on my arms.
The way Chicken Little shares with her sister.
The way they both dance to any random rhythm they hear.
The way Chicken Little laughs and laughs at even the thought of a tickle.
The way they both still like to play "This little piggy" and "Patty Cake."
The way they prefer to read their Bible stories (or Lyle, Lyle Crocodile) every night.
The way they sit together "reading" their Bibles during prayer times.
The way they wake me up with rainbow fairy dust if mommy can't get out of bed.
The way they both get so excited over something simple like oranges or pineapple.
They way Chicken Little always looks for Chicken Big on the playground, then gives her a hug.
The way Chicken Little scrunches up her eyes and smiles for the camera and the way Chicken Big sticks out her tongue, or makes some other crazy face, for the camera.
The way they love to have palette nights, especially the part where they get out all the blankets and pillows and stuffed animals.
And a million more things....
